The Opportunity

We are urgently seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor with a strong background in social housing (Local Authorities/councils) to join a local authority in Camden. This is a fantastic chance to step into a respected council position, take responsibility for a team of operatives, and oversee the delivery of responsive housing repairs across a varied property portfolio.

With a competitive hourly rate, a van and fuel card included, and the opportunity to make a real difference to tenant's homes, this role offers both reward and responsibility.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a team of operatives delivering day-to-day repairs and maintenance within social housing properties

• Allocating workloads, managing schedules, and ensuring works are completed on time and to specification

• Carrying out site inspections and post-works checks to maintain quality, safety, and compliance

• Acting as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring a high level of customer care in line with social housing standards

• Monitoring KPIs, productivity, and ensuring works meet local authority service levels

• Liaising with contractors, council staff, and other stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within the social housing sector - essential

• Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance in council or housing association stock

• Experience managing teams of operatives or subcontractors in a housing environment

• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a resident-focused approach

• Sound understanding of health & safety in housing and construction

• A full UK driving licence (van and fuel card provided)
