A family based in Queen’s Park is seeking a French-speaking nanny to care for their 1-year-old child. This is a sole-charge position, and the family is looking for someone reliable, caring and experienced with toddlers.
The nanny must speak French and have a good level of English. Openness to occasional travel would be appreciated, although travel is not essential for the role.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
34 hours per week

Salary
£18 – £22 gross per hour
£612 – £748 gross per week
Depending on experience.

Role Overview
The nanny will have sole charge of the child and will be responsible for providing attentive, safe and age-appropriate care throughout the week. The role includes full nanny duties relating to the child, alongside light household help during suitable times.

The family would ideally like someone open to occasional travel, although this is not a requirement.

Main Responsibilities
Sole-charge care of the child
Supporting the child’s daily routine
Planning age-appropriate activities
Preparing meals and snacks for the child
Maintaining a safe, calm and stimulating environment
Providing light household help as agreed with the family

Nanny Duties
Provide attentive care for the child throughout working hours
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the child
Support naps, feeding and daily routines
Organise age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
Take the child to local classes, outings and playgroups as appropriate
Encourage development through play, reading and interaction
Maintain the child’s bedroom, play areas and belongings in good order
Keep parents updated on the child’s day and routine

Child-Related Housekeeping
Prepare and tidy up after the child’s meals
Wash and organise the child’s bottles, cups and feeding items where applicable
Keep the child’s toys and play areas tidy
Manage the child’s laundry as required
Keep the child’s nursery items clean and organised

Light Household Help
Empty and load the dishwasher
Keep shared areas tidy after use
Provide light practical support around the home during suitable times
No deep cleaning
The role is primarily childcare-focused

Requirements
French-speaking nanny
Good level of English
Previous professional experience caring for toddlers
Confident in a sole-charge position
Reliable, organised and proactive
Open to occasional travel would be appreciated, but is not essential
Enhanced DBS check preferred
Paediatric First Aid certificate preferred
Valid Right to Work in the UK
