Escalator Engineer (Day Shift)

The role of Escalator Engineer has opened up in the bustling city of Bromley, where you'll maintain and repair escalators across Greater London, including high-profile sites like Gatwick and Stansted stations. With a competitive salary of up to £75,000 OTE, a company van, and paid door-to-door travel, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a structured shift pattern.

Your day-to-day will involve servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of escalators and moving walkways from various manufacturers. You'll work on specific equipment such as KONE TM, RTV, RTK units, Schindler 9300 escalators, Anlev systems, and Otis 506 NCE equipment. This varied, technical role requires strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Details

• Pay: Up to £75,000 OTE (based on skills and experience level)
• Hours: 7:00 – 19:00, 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts with 45-minute unpaid break)
• Location: Bromley, Greater London, with travel across the region and to Gatwick & Stansted airports
• Start date: As soon as possible

The Work

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and callouts on escalators and moving walkways
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety, and customer care
• Perform effective risk assessments and maintain site log cards during every visit

What You Need

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways
• A valid UK driving license

• Experience with specific equipment mentioned in the role
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
