This is aself employedrole. Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment. We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders. What you'll be doing

Consultant Psychiatrist (Visiting Consultant) , you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients .
- Serve as Consultant and Responsible Clinician, leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assess and manage complex cases, chair MDT/CPA meetings, and liaise with patients, families, and external stakeholders.
- Provide clinical leadership alongside the Ward Manager, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Contribute to governance and quality improvement through active participation in ward, CAMHS, and service development meetings.
- Engage in academic activities including teaching, case presentations, audit, research, and ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will be fully registered with the GMC and expected to provide evidence of their registration when required. You should have significant experience working within multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate strong leadership in coordinating care, discharge planning, and liaising with commissioners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with patients and colleagues. You must be confident working autonomously, have strong problem-solving abilities, and be able to apply evidence-based practice in a practical, patient-centred manner. Participation in a non-residential, second on-call rota is also required. What we will give you in return
