Lead Procurement Manager
We're looking for a Lead Procurement Manager for a central government department based in London (remote/hybrid) on an initial 12 months contract, paying up to £700 per day (Inside IR35).
This is a mainly remote role with occasional travel to London for meetings. The successful Lead Procurement Manager will lead end-to-end sourcing activity, from pre-procurement and delivery model assessment through strategy, market engagement, ITT development, evaluation and award to final business case. You'll handle contract administration, including variations and change control, assure pay and performance mechanisms, and resolve supplier and stakeholder issues. You'll also support collaborative commercial opportunities across government and help shape category management ways of working. You will need proven experience in the following: Delivering procurements across a range of proceduresEvidence-based, commercially sound decision making
Stakeholder management at senior level
Strong written and oral communication and influencing
Public sector procurement legislation You'll also need relevant commercial experience across contract management and sourcing. Experience delivering procurements under the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), including the Central Digital Platform and new notice types, would be beneficial. Proficiency with the Jaggaer e-sourcing system is also desirable. Interested? Please apply below.
