Applications are invited for appointment of a Research Clinical Fellow within Nephrology at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Trust as a fixed term contract of 12 months starting from March 2026. The junior clinical fellow in Renal research post will play a major role in supporting translational research and Drug Development on the clinical research facility in Paediatric Nephrology at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This position will contribute to delivering the research portfolio of clinical trials in the Department whilst having dedicated supervision and time to enhance their own academic career. The Department has established a team of doctors, research nurses and data managers to conduct translational and clinical research who will work closely with the junior fellow. This post holder will provide a comprehensive training in paediatric nephrology drug development and are particularly suitable for a doctor who has completed an academic foundation programme, an intercalated degree during medical school or who has a strong desire to embed research into their future career. The primary remit of the post holder will be responsibility for supporting patient reviews for phase II/III trials on the Clinical Research Facility. The fellow may also support translational research projects such as biosample collections and biomarker development. Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
Main duties of the job
