Quantity Surveyor (Civils Background)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong civils background and experience on major infrastructure projects? This is your chance to play a critical role in one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes, valued at £9 billion. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all costs relating to civil engineering and infrastructure projects from initial calculations to final figures. * Provide accurate and timely cost forecasting, valuation, and reporting. * Lead on subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and cost management. * Support project teams in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. * Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are effectively managed. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects (experience on projects >£500m preferred). * Strong background in civil engineering works (earthworks, roads, bridges, structures, utilities, etc.). * Thorough understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC). * Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. * Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ICES) is desirable.
