Senior Electrical Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services Consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who can lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients across a diverse portfolio of developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across a range of commercial, residential, and education sector projects, from concept through to completion. Responsibilities- Lead electrical building services design on a variety of projects.
- Produce and review detailed electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
- Manage projects through all design stages, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and external consultants.
- Attend client and design team meetings, acting as a key technical point of contact.
- Support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
- Ensure compliance with current industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working within a Building Services Consultancy environment.
- Strong background delivering commercial, residential, and education projects.
- Proficient with industry software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and supporting junior team members.
- Working towards or already holding Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
