The opportunity
HKA is looking to recruit an experienced operational Senior Human Resources Advisor with responsibility for our European business but as part of a wider International People Team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background with a focus on the operational side of HR and administration.
With responsibility to provide expert HR advice and support across the European region, ensuring alignment with local employment laws, company policies, and strategic business objectives. The Senior HR Advisor will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, driving best practices in employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
As part of the role you will:
- Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees across multiple European countries, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
- Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance review processes.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues globally to ensure consistency and alignment of HR practices and policies.
- Support the implementation of HR projects and change initiatives.
- Advise on compensation and benefits matters in collaboration with the Total Reward team, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Monitor and interpret employment legislation across relevant jurisdictions, updating policies and advising stakeholders accordingly.
- Deliver coaching to line managers on HR best practices, employment law, and people management skills.
- Analyse HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery across the wider International region.
Qualifications & Experience
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Proven experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role, ideally within a European or international context.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and working knowledge of employment legislation in at least one other European country.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high performing, fast-paced, and culturally diverse environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
