Events Product Producer
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12-month contract
Daily Rate: £300 - £450 per day PAYE Summary The Product Experiences team produces experiences that create product and platform evangelists, bringing consumer hardware and software to market through memorable demos and experiences. Our client engages individuals and communities to deliver on the promise that technology builds human connections. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented Experiences Producer to work cross-functionally - leading, executing, and supporting a range of events, activations, and product demonstrations. This producer will join the Product Experiences team within the Global Experiential and Industry Marketing team. Non-Negotiable Skills
- 8+ years’ experience
- Event Experience & Crisis Management: Someone without significant event experience likely won't be able to "jump in the deep end." Crucially, this involves the ability to move quickly, make decisions on the fly in real-time, and—most importantly—make sense of chaos by de-escalating and thinking critically rather than just "thriving" in it.
- Public Speaking & Product Demonstration: In "white glove" moments, the contractor must be capable of stepping in to deliver competent, confident, and engaging live product demonstrations to VIP audiences. A track record of being comfortable speaking in public spaces is a key requirement.
- Strategic & Cross-Functional Communication: Because the role sits at the intersection of many teams (Policy, Comms, Product, Marketing, and Legal), high emotional intelligence (EQ) and exceptional communication skills are essential. The role requires someone who can build narratives around project briefs and post-event data to align stakeholders across these diverse departments
- Experience with XR products
- Level technical troubleshooting of devices, with the ability to engineer real-time creative solutions for events
- Experience working within a large, matrixed, global tech company and in a rapidly scaling department
- 5+ years of client-facing experience in event management, production, or within a creative agency
- Experience coordinating virtual and in-person events
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, organisational Requisition Intake Form EMEA design, and systems planning
- Communication and presentation experience with a proven track record of working with executive leadership
- Experience managing vendors
- Experience with standard project management tools and methodologies
- Experience managing production budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using judgement and analysis, providing practical, timely, and proactive communication guidance
- Proficiency in assessing data reports for trends, patterns, and insights related to communications and events
- Support and execute events and experiences across the client
- Design, develop, and scale the delivery of Product Experiences in support of internal and external stakeholders
- Provide creative production and logistics expertise for events including experience consultation, demo design, staffing, tech, and on-site support
- Create partnerships with marketing, product, and creative teams
- Support the development of processes and playbooks that streamline and scale our operations
- Partner with agencies to plan and execute experiential activations. Establish and support strategic measurement and marketing plans for events
- Support post-event reporting processes and data collection
- Travel up to 25% as required
- Product Representation: The team is responsible for managing how our clients products are shown in physical locations, which involves training on-site staff and managing the necessary hardware.
- Strategic Planning: The role involves reviewing event briefs, aligning with product goals and budgets, and determining which products are hierarchically important to the company.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional partners is essential, as the role requires interacting with policy, communications, marketing, product, and legal teams.
- Production & Execution: Responsibilities include working with product agencies and communications partners to build and deliver the event experience, as well as handling on-the-ground execution.
- Demonstrations: In "white glove" moments, the contractor will often need to step in and deliver live product demonstrations to VIP audiences.
- Measurement: A significant part of the role involves building measurement plans, coordinating with data science teams to track event efficacy, and creating narratives based on that data.
- Vendor Management: The contractor is responsible for managing relationships with various external agencies and vendors.
- Handling Chaos: The role requires managing multiple events simultaneously (typically 5 or 6) with varying scopes and budgets. Need for someone who can "make sense of chaos" by thinking critically, de-escalating, and adapting to changes in product direction.
- The "Pure" Event Producer: "archetypal event producer" isn't necessarily what they are looking for. Because the team works closely with partner teams who are the event producers, this role requires more than just logistical event management. A candidate who focuses solely on event logistics without a deeper "product lens" or strategic capacity would likely struggle.
- Lack of Event Experience: event experience is a core, non-negotiable requirement. Someone who has never worked in an event environment, or who lacks the ability to move quickly and make decisions in real-time under pressure, would not be able to "jump in the deep end" and survive the team's high-intensity environment.
- Low Emotional Intelligence / Siloed Worker: Because this role acts as the connective tissue between Policy, Communications, Product, Marketing, and Legal, a candidate who is not highly collaborative or lacks high EQ (Emotional Intelligence) would fail.
- Lack of Flexibility regarding "Non-Routine": Someone looking for a strict 9-to-5, predictable routine will likely struggle. The role involves global time zone challenges and "early and late calls," which CWAM identified as a specific difficulty of the role.
- "Side Project" Focus: While entrepreneurial spirit (like experience running a studio) is valued, if a candidate has concerns about managing their own external projects/business alongside the role, they are not the right fit. The role requires full commitment.
