The SEN Teaching Assistant Job We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with secondary aged students with complex learning needs and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant applicant will be given an exciting opportunity to work as a part of a fantastic school in Lambeth where your energy and experience will be valued as you play an important part working each day towards the schools aim to meet the varied needs of its students.

- Based in Lambeth this fantastic school is a friendly and well respected in the local community with students across the school ages 11-19.
- Pupils from Lambeth and across surrounding areas who attend this school are offered a broad and balanced curriculum, that is tailored around an extensive knowledge of their learning difficulties and tailored to them.
- Support and training offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as an SEN teaching assistant for children with varied needs.
- You will be working with skilled Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistant's in a classroom environment
The SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
- Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
- Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
- Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment
