Teaching Assistant - Support Student Success
Join our vibrant learning community and play a key role in supporting students to reach their full potential as a Teaching Assistant. You'll assist teachers, create engaging after-school activities, and foster a positive and inclusive environment where every child thrives.
Responsibilities
- Provide Lesson Support: Assist students in lessons to access learning and make strong progress.
- Collaborate with Teachers: Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored support and reinforce learning concepts.
- Encourage Confidence & Independence: Foster confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards education.
- Support Diverse Learners: Support students of different ages, abilities, and needs across the school.
- Create Positive Learning Environment: Help create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Lead After-School Provision: Lead and supervise after-school activities from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, ensuring students enjoy safe, stimulating, and engaging experiences.
- Build Relationships: Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a strong sense of community.
Requirements
- Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Experience: Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Personal Qualities: Patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Passion for Learning: Passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Values Alignment: Shares values of kindness, inclusion, and high expectations for students.
Working Conditions
This role is permanent and offered in term time only, commencing April 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
