A well-regarded secondary school in Kingston upon Thames is looking to recruit a professional School Receptionist to oversee its main reception area. The school places considerable importance on providing a welcoming environment for visitors and families and is seeking someone who can deliver an efficient and friendly front-of-house service.
The Role
The Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and external organisations. Duties will include answering and directing telephone calls, greeting visitors, managing the sign-in process, issuing visitor passes and handling general enquiries. You will also assist with deliveries, maintain reception records, support the wider administration team and ensure that visitors follow the school's safeguarding and site procedures.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in reception, customer service or school administration. A confident and approachable manner is essential, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to remain organised in a busy environment. Good IT skills and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality are also required.
