Chef

Location: Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home, Enfield Salary: £16.00 per hour Contract Type: Part-Time (26 hours per week) Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (including weekends and bank holidays as required)

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join the team at Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home , working 26 hours per week at a competitive rate of £16 per hour .

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and well-being of our residents. Your food will do more than nourish - it will provide comfort, enjoyment, and a sense of routine to those in our care.

You'll be part of a welcoming, supportive team committed to high standards in care and hospitality.

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences
• Maintain stock levels and ensure kitchen is fully supplied
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations
• Supervise kitchen assistants where required
• Record temperatures and complete kitchen documentation in line with health and safety procedures
• Create a positive dining experience for residents and visitors alike

• A genuine passion for cooking and creating homely, nourishing meals
• Experience working as a Chef, preferably in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A caring, patient, and respectful attitude towards older people
• Flexible approach to shift patterns and weekend working
