At Metro Bank, we believe the best banking experience starts with people who genuinely care. We’re not just delivering banking services - we’re building trust through authentic connections. Here, our people come first; our colleagues are part of a team that values individuality, collaboration, and long-standing relationships. We are also all about balance so most of our jobs offer the opportunity for hybrid working built around your role and home life, wherever possible.

What you will do:

As an EUC End Point Administrator – Apple Mac, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade Mac environments that deliver a secure, seamless, and scalable experience for colleagues across the organisation.

You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining both physical and virtual Mac environments, ensuring developer tooling is stable, standardised, and optimised for productivity as demand grows.

Working as part of the EUC team, you will act as a technical specialist focused on delivering an exceptional end-user experience. You will ensure colleagues have the tools, platforms, and support they need to work effectively, removing technology barriers and driving continuous improvement across the Mac estate.

  • Design, build and support enterprise-grade macOS environments across physical and virtual platforms.
  • Develop and maintain standardised Mac builds for both developer and business user communities.
  • Administer and manage Mac devices through Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
  • Configure device policies, compliance settings and security controls across the Mac estate.
  • Integrate Apple technologies with Microsoft services including Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
  • Configure, optimise and support developer tooling to enable productivity and innovation.
  • Package, test, deploy and maintain Mac applications using modern endpoint management tools.
  • Manage the full application lifecycle, including upgrades, patching and retirement.
  • Develop and deliver macOS update and patch management strategies.
  • Ensure Mac endpoints remain secure, compliant and aligned to best practices.
  • Provide 3rd line support and act as the technical escalation point for complex issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Mac OS, application and developer environment incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues.
  • Monitor platform health, performance and user experience, driving continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering and Windows EUC teams.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards and support procedures.
  • Support the delivery of a seamless, secure and scalable end-user computing experience.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required within the role

And... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do. We love people who take responsibility, do the right thing for customers, colleagues and Metro Bank and have the ability to call out any concerns.

What you will need:

  • Proven experience managing and engineering Mac endpoints within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS administration, endpoint management and device lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance and application deployment.
  • Experience supporting and optimising developer tooling and environments (highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of Apple ecosystem integration with Microsoft technologies, including Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience managing macOS updates, patching and application deployment at scale.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Jamf Certified Tech / Admin (preferred) / Jamf 400 Certified (preferred).
  • Microsoft Endpoint / Intune certifications
  • AZ-900 or equivalent foundational cloud knowledge
  • Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

Our promise to you…

  • We will make sure that you are well-rewarded by providing you with a competitive salary, discretionary annual bonus, and a wide range of benefits, including generous holiday allowance, attractive pension scheme, healthcare, life assurance, and a number of colleague discounts!

  • We will give you the training to ensure you succeed in your role and plenty of internal opportunities to progress your career (around 40% of our recruitment comes from internal promotions!

Important Footnote

Diverse teams really are the best teams. We know that candidates (especially women, research tells us) may be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box. We also know that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable, and while we can’t accommodate every flexible working request we are happy to be asked. So if you are excited about working with us and think you can do much of what we are looking for but aren’t sure if you are 100% there yet… why not give it a whirl? Good luck!
