We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Manager to oversee and optimise the administration and operation of key technology platforms used within our fund administration business. The role requires expertise in managing and enhancing platforms such as Investran, Anaplan, iCafé, and other related systems to ensure seamless fund operations, reporting and data management.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and IT teams, to drive system improvements, integrations and automation. Additionally, candidates must be well-organised and be able to deliver projects in a timely manner. Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and be capable of working on multiple, diverse assignments.
Key Responsibilities
. Platform Management & Optimisation:
a. Oversee the administration, configuration and optimisation of Fund Services platforms, including Investran, Anaplan, iCafé, Medius and so on
b. Ensure platform performance, reliability and data integrity to support fund administration operations and Fund Services data platform
c. Identify and implement enhancements, upgrades and integrations to improve efficiency
d. Steer collaboration between Operations, Technology, Product and external vendors for platform-related initiatives
2. Data Management & Reporting:
a. Ensure accurate data flow across upstream & downstream systems and the data platform
b. Managing and supporting digitised reporting solutions and dashboards, where the target consumers or Operations, Investment Managers and LPs
c. Maintain data governance policies & procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of deliverables. Inclusive of ownership of Fund Services Data Dictionary
3. Project Management & Implementation
a. Steer projects for system upgrades, new platform implementations and automation initiatives
b. Work with external vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal operational disruption
c. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows and user guides
4. Risk & Compliance
a. Ensure all platforms are aligned with internal controls, risk management and compliance policies
b. Monitor and address security risks, access controls and audit requirements related to platform usage
Key Requirements
§ Problem-Solving; ability to identify issues, analyse root causes and implement effective solutions
§ Hands-on experience with Investran, Anaplan, iCafé, and similar platforms. Strong understanding of Fund Accounting, Investor Reporting, and Financial Modelling tools
§ Knowledge of SQL, VBA, or scripting languages for automation
§ PC Skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Jira and Confluence
§ Project Management; proven ability to lead system implementations, upgrades, and automation projects
§ Analytical Skills; strong data management and reporting skills, including experience with BI Tools
§ Stakeholder Management; excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Educational Background:
a. Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Engineering, STEAM degree or a related field is required. An advanced degree (Masters’ or Postgraduate) a plus
b. Certifications in financial systems, data analytics, or project management (e.g., PMP, CFA, FRM) a huge plus
2. Professional Experience:
a. Experience in fund administration, private markets, or asset management firms
b. 5+ years of experience in platform management, or financial systems management
