About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school's safeguarding procedures, responding to concerns and working closely with staff, parents and external agencies. You will help ensure that all safeguarding matters are handled professionally, sensitively and in line with current policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns and disclosures.

• Record, monitor and follow up safeguarding incidents accurately.

• Work alongside the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to manage cases.

• Liaise with external agencies and relevant professionals where required.

• Promote safeguarding awareness and ensure school policies are followed.

• Support the welfare and wellbeing of students across the school.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience in a safeguarding, pastoral or child protection role.

• Has a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.

• Demonstrates excellent communication and record-keeping skills.

• Can handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

• Is organised, proactive and confident working with students and staff.
