Domestic and Emerging Payments Lead, GPS Operations

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Domestic and Emerging Payments Lead, GPS Operations. The base location for this role is London.
Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Operations sits within the Global COO structure and is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. GPS Operations combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition and provides the operational stewardship of the payments franchise, processing over 6.5B payments with value of $700T annually.
In this role you will:
- Provide stewardship and drive operational excellence across GPS Operations across the UK, Europe and Central Europe, including the oversight of Payments Services, Cheque Operations, and BRCS.
 - Be accountable for consistent delivery, policy, frameworks, standards-setting, oversight, and assurance across the region, supporting the GPS business.
 - Lead Operations to partner with GPS on Domestic and Emerging payments – a product vertical focused on building new next-generation, client-centric payments solutions.
 - Implement the optimal GPS Operations strategy including location strategy, technology levers and engagement with 3rd party vendors to support regional business objectives.
 - Ensure In-country teams meet operational risk targets, address key risks raised by 2nd/3rd LOD and continually adhere to Global Standards.
 - Adopt an entrepreneurial approach and Global mindset to successfully deliver, working closely with GPS and other key stakeholders to support the Business strategy.
 
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven, progressive Global Payments experience or equivalent with strong knowledge of local market trends and competitor positions and new technology.
 - Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large scale, complex global/regional change initiatives
 - Strong managerial, leadership, communications, organizational, decision-making, lateral thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills.
 - Experience of working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural work environments
 - Strong analytical background, being able to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions
