Business Development Manager

Job Responsibilities
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through structured tender and proposal processes.
- Proactively build a strong food services pipeline via in‑person and phone outreach.
- Map target accounts and nurture relationships with key decision makers.
- Prioritise high‑value opportunities based on defined criteria such as revenue potential and geography.
- Own the full sales cycle, collaborating with subject matter experts from lead creation to contract sign‑off.
- Lead proposal and bid development, coordinating contributors and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to create commercially viable solutions and maintain internal alignment.
- Ensure governance and accuracy, including up‑to‑date Salesforce records, compliant processes, and tailored proposal content.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in contract catering — either in business development or an operational/support role within the sector.
- Results‑driven with strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and resilient.
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation.
- Confident influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
