KPi Education is working in partnership with a specialist school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a skilled and committed SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) .

The Role – SEN HLTA

As a SEN HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching, learning, and inclusion by:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons for pupils with SEN in the absence of the teacher
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs , including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
• Leading small-group interventions and targeted SEN support sessions
• Assisting with planning, differentiation, and assessment
• Supporting behaviour management using positive and inclusive strategies
• Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
• Contributing to a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment

Person Specification

To be considered, you should have:

• HLTA status or equivalent experience in an SEN setting
• Strong experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
• Confidence delivering lessons and managing small groups independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience working with EHCPs and SEN strategies
• A calm, patient, and professional approach

Desirable:

• Experience working with Autism, SEMH, or complex needs
• Additional SEN or behaviour support training
