Senior Publicity Manager (London Area)

Allegis Global Solutions is recruiting for a contract position and the assignment will be at Warner Bros. Discovery.

Duration of the contract : 12 months maternity cover

Target start date: mid-August

Location : London

Payrate : TBC (PAYE/Umbrella inside IR35)

A key strategic role with the PR team in the UK and Ireland leading on film lifecycle campaigns.

Our client expects an exemplary candidate with 6+ years of experience to:

• Lead on all PR strategy and implementation for a film’s lifecycle including Theatrical, PVOD, EST and Physical with little to no supervision.
• Deliver campaigns for large, tentpole franchise titles whilst working over a diverse 20 title slate where all films demand bespoke, creative campaigns. Our client is looking for a candidate who is hugely creative and embraces constant change.
• Continually expand conventional publicity opportunities, focusing on bigger ideas which will cut through in the marketplace.
• Lead on content capture, press access and PR strategy for local acquisitions from unit through all windows.
• Have excellent digital, broadcast and print contacts and a comprehensive understanding of the UK and Irish Media landscape with a celebrated track record in delivery of press coverage.
• Orchestrate influencer and tastemaker strategy
• Be a champion of innovation and change for the team identifying new opportunities for campaigns, process and the team within the Film and wider Entertainment Industries.
• Have experience in line managing direct reports and being an active support for the senior management on the team with staffing and team morale
• Communicate fluently with: The PR team and colleagues across the business including reporting directly into the VP of Publicity.
• Senior Executives in the UK, EMEA and Burbank in meetings, reporting, etc…
• Filmmakers and talent on titles and local acquisitions.
• Employed agencies to facilitate campaigns and deliver results.
• Drive cross divisional working over key titles with the Franchise, TV, Catalogue and Games teams and wider divisions. Drive one team approach over the full slate identifying opportunity and innovation

What we need from You:

• Film Publicity Experience : 8+ years of proven experience in Film publicity with the ability to implement and manage campaigns with limited supervision. Unit PR, TV, Games and Franchise experience is favoured.

• Self-Motivation: Must be highly self-motivated with the ability and willingness to work unsociable hours where necessary.

• Flexibility: As above, must be able to adjust working style and hours at short notice given the changing work environment of publicity.

• Excellent Communication Skills : Critical particularly in media relations and reporting internally in the UK, EMEA and Burbank.

• Planning and Organising: Must be highly organized and able to plan both short and long term.

• Results Orientation: Must strive to achieve highest results in demanding and ever-changing environment.

• Decision-making: Must be able to think on their feet and make quick/logical decisions.

• Commercial Acumen : - Must have a demonstrable understanding of the importance of maintaining brand integrity and demonstrable budgeting skills gained in the publicity arena.
