About the Role
The Finance Assistant will support the effective financial management of the school, ensuring accurate processing of transactions and maintaining compliance with financial procedures and trust policies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments
• Assisting with budget monitoring and reconciliation
• Maintaining accurate financial records and databases
• Supporting payroll administration processes
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
• Assisting with audit preparation and compliance checks
You will work closely with the School Business Manager and Finance Officer to ensure efficient and transparent financial operations.
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience in finance, accounts, or administration
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
• Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
Experience within an educational or public sector setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
