Quality Assurance
Location: Erith Salary: £26,500 per annum Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent About the Role
We are working with a client who is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA to join a well-established food manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing food safety and quality systems, overseeing the site HACCP programme, and ensuring compliance with SALSA and BRC Global Standards. You will play a key role in maintaining exceptional product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to: Technical Manager Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain HACCP methods Develop and implement systems compatible with BRC Global Standards & SALSA Support new product development, including ingredient sourcing and trials Ensure accurate product labelling and compliance with factory documentation requirements Oversee sample testing for microbiological, chemical, and allergenic compliance Conduct quality and organoleptic tests on raw materials and finished products Liaise with customers and suppliers, addressing complaints and performing root cause analysis Carry out daily and weekly internal audits (glass & hard plastic, hygiene, etc.) Assist pest control contractors during inspections Support external calibrations and supplier approvals What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of BRC Global Standards, SALSA, and HACCP methods Proven quality assurance experience within the food industry Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes precisely Strong communication and problem-solving skills IT literate with good time management and organisational abilities Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently or as part of a team Why Apply?
