Coffee Roastery Assistant
About Us At Ground Coffee Society, we pride ourselves on delivering top-quality specialty coffee to our community and wholesale partners. Our roastery in Wandsworth is the heart of our operation. We’re looking for someone to join our dedicated team and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
The Role We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support daily operations in our busy coffee roastery. This is not a coffee roasting role – instead, you’ll be instrumental in making sure our coffee is packed correctly, orders are fulfilled efficiently, and the space is kept clean and well-organised.
Key Responsibilities - Coffee Packing: Accurately weigh, seal, and label bags of freshly roasted coffee. - Order Fulfilment: Pick and pack customer orders (retail and wholesale), ensuring accuracy and quality. - Receiving & Stock: Take in deliveries, check against invoices, and manage stock rotation and storage. - Organisation & Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy, clean and organised roastery environment, including sweeping, bin management, and equipment cleaning. - Efficiency: Ensure that daily targets for order dispatch are met and that the flow of goods is smooth and timely. - Team Collaboration: Work closely with our roasting and logistics teams to support operations and problem-solve in real time.
Ideal Candidate - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow systems. - A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills. - Physically fit – some lifting and movement of stock is required. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. - Punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently once trained.
