Exciting Reception Teacher Opportunity in Southwark!

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Southwark to recruit a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in November 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher to join a supportive, two-form entry school with a collaborative team and a strong commitment to providing children with an engaging and stimulating start to their education.

The Role

Teach a Reception class, delivering a creative, engaging and inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that support children's learning, development and school readiness.
Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported and encouraged to thrive.
Assess and monitor children's progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has previous experience teaching within Reception or the EYFS.
Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
Is passionate about delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong communication skills.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Please note: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) cannot be considered for this position.
