Lead from the front. Deliver safely. Drive quality on every site.
You take pride in running a safe, organised, and high-performing site. You know how to bring teams together, keep projects on track, and ensure work is delivered to the highest standards. That’s exactly what we’re looking for in this role.
We’re seeking a proactive Site Manager to oversee day-to-day construction site operations within our Landscape, Design and Energy division. You’ll be responsible for ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme set by the Construction Manager, maintaining full health and safety compliance, and leading Field Teams to achieve high-quality results.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for operational delivery, safety, quality, and team performance on one or multiple sites.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll take ownership of site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Site Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring teams work according to project plans, resources are available, and projects stay on schedule. Support the Construction Manager with site logistics and manage one or multiple sites depending on project size and complexity.
Team management: Day-to-day supervision of both direct and field team employees, acting as mentor and coach, leading the teams to achieve the expected works. Assign daily tasks to teams, ensuring clarity, accountability, and that targets are met.
Site Compliance: Ensure all site documentation (permits, RAMS, and H&S paperwork) is in place before work begins, and carry out regular inspections while maintaining accurate site records.
HSQE: Carry out regular quality inspections and audits, report hazards, near misses, and best practices, and log updates in Safety Culture.
Field Teams: Plan Field Team workloads, set targets and deadlines, manage output to meet project plans, and ensure high-quality work. Assist with onboarding new team members when required.
Client Relationships: Maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and clear communication, providing detailed information to the Construction Manager as needed.
Decision Making: Make daily on-site decisions, considering external and environmental factors, and escalate issues to the Construction Manager when necessary.
Systems: Use systems like Microsoft Office, Skillco, and Safety Culture to update site progress and health & safety records.
What you’ll get
Responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of site operations
The opportunity to lead and develop Field Teams
Exposure to single and multi-site project management
Support from Construction Managers and wider operational teams
A role where your decisions directly influence safety, quality, and project success
Competitive package and benefits
What we’re looking for
Proven experience supervising teams or site-based projects
Valid CSCS and SMSTS
Minimum 2 years’ experience within Construction or Utilities
Experience working on active sites, with flexibility to travel as required
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
Good understanding of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS)
Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance requirements
Desirable knowledge and skills
Experience managing team performance and productivity
Horticultural experience
Broader construction background
