Head of Philanthropy
Salary: £56,813 - £69,206 (plus £3,300 London weighting if applicable)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid 2 days/week in Stratford, London

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Philanthropy, working for a globally recognised cultural and educational organisation that creates international opportunities through arts, education and cultural exchange programmes. Reporting to the senior lead responsible for income generation, this is a rare opportunity to lead and shape a high-value philanthropy programme with both UK and international impact.
As part of this exciting role, you will lead the development and delivery of a philanthropy strategy focused on acquiring, retaining and growing support from major donors and patrons. You will oversee donor cultivation and stewardship programmes, develop relationships with high-net-worth individuals, identify new income opportunities and work closely with senior stakeholders across a complex international organisation. You will also provide leadership to a specialist team, drive fundraising best practice and help maximise philanthropic support for a diverse portfolio of globally significant programmes.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy you will need:
- Significant experience securing and cultivating relationships with high-net-worth donors and major philanthropists.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies, including securing six-figure gifts.
- Experience leading teams and managing senior internal and external stakeholders to drive a strong fundraising culture.
