Health & Safety Advisor "Building Safer Futures - One Site at a Time" Location: Glasgow (with travel throughout Scotland as required)Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Due to continued business growth, our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Contractor, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their expanding HSE team on a permanent basis. Working closely with construction project delivery teams, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting, advising, and implementing Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) processes, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives across a variety of construction sites throughout Scotland. Reporting to senior management, the Health & Safety Advisor will provide both technical and administrative support to ensure the highest standards of HSE performance and compliance are achieved across all projects. Key Responsibilities HSE Management & Planning Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of key HSE management plans, including Project Management Plans (PMP), Construction Phase Plans (CPP), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist with the preparation and approval of Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) and work permits. Safety Leadership & Engagement Deliver and support site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Promote behavioural safety initiatives and foster a positive, proactive safety culture across project teams. Technical Support & Compliance Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters throughout all phases of project delivery, from tender to completion. Ensure compliance with company HSE Management Systems, industry regulations, and best practices. Support HSE monitoring, auditing, and reporting, identifying key trends and opportunities for improvement.
