In this full-time role, you will deliver high-quality, tailored learning to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD. You will join a dedicated team focused on creating inclusive pathways, nurturing pupil independence, and ensuring equal access to a rich secondary curriculum.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Education, alongside relevant additional training or experience within Special Educational Needs.

• Teaching Mastery: Proven ability to adapt, differentiate, and personalize lesson delivery to suit diverse learning profiles and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

• Classroom Management: Outstanding behaviour management, de-escalation strategies, and nurturing classroom practice that builds confidence and emotional well-being.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Experience working alongside Teaching Assistants, Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, and parents to review and deliver EHCP outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, highly adapted lessons tailored to small groups or designated SEN provision classes within the secondary setting.

• Monitor pupil milestones, write detailed progress reports, and lead EHCP annual reviews in collaboration with the SENCO.

• Manage designated classroom Teaching Assistants effectively to ensure targeted support during all learning tasks.

• Promote positive behaviour, social-emotional development, and functional life skills alongside academic progress.
