Zed is a vibrant, sunny-natured teenager, full of fun and charm! He loves musicals, theatre, Mr. Men books, and playing accessible games on his iPad or phone. He enjoys outdoor adventures, from feeding ducks to swimming or walking the family dog. Zed has Coffin-Lowry Syndrome, moderate to severe learning difficulties, ADHD, dyspraxia, and some physical disabilities. While verbal, his expressive language can be inconsistent, so he benefits from clear, patient communication. He’s working hard on his independence but still needs support with dressing, toileting, and hygiene. Following a spinal injury and scoliosis diagnosis, Zed uses a wheelchair for longer distances and a walker at school, though he can walk short distances with supervision. The Role at a Glance
Zed divides his time between his parents’ homes (Mum in Chiswick, Dad in Mortlake). A typical afternoon includes school pick-up, attending clubs like swimming or drama, then home for a snack and evening routine before handover. During school holidays, there’s plenty of scope to plan fun activities and outings. Parents are welcome to apply and may bring their children along in holidays. Zed’s education focuses on developing life skills to support future independence. This Job Would Suit
A warm, upbeat individual with a calm and patient nature. An interest in music, drama, or the outdoors would be ideal. Zed will thrive with someone positive, flexible, and genuinely invested in his development. The right person will celebrate his achievements, guide him through challenges, and embrace the creative, joyful world he loves. Why You’ll Love This Role
Zed’s enthusiasm makes each day rewarding and full of fun. You’ll play a key role in building his confidence and independence while enjoying shared activities like swimming, cooking, or theatre trips. There’s also flexibility for your own children to join in school holidays. A fantastic role for someone seeking a meaningful, engaging, and joyful position. Recruitment Process
