Senior Product Manager - Pensions
About InvestEngine
InvestEngine is everything the modern investor should need. Unbeatable value, market-leading automation, and built for easy, long-term investing. We’ve built a strong foundation, have over £2 billion invested, award-winning service, and a passionate team, now we’re ready to scale.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Lead – Pensions to join our Product team. You’ll be working on the operational, administration, and technical evolution of InvestEngine’s pension product, ensuring it remains compliant, scalable, and efficient as we grow.
This role is ideal for someone who’s highly knowledgeable in UK pensions (SIPP administration expertise a focus), commercially minded, and comfortable operating at the intersection of product, operations, compliance, and technology.
You’ll be the team’s pension subject matter expert and work closely with engineering, operations, compliance, and design teams and have the autonomy to own solutions from end to end — from improving pension administration and compliance processes to shaping the future roadmap of our pension product.
What You’ll Do
Lead the operational and administrative elements of InvestEngine’s pension offering, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and scalability
Ensure pension products remain compliant with UK pension regulation (FCA, TPR and HMRC) and evolving regulatory requirements
Manage and optimise pension administration processes, including oversight of third-party administrator, adherence to SLAs and ongoing compliance
Drive improvements in pension compliance processes and operational efficiency, reducing manual workflows through automation
Define and deliver enhancements to the SIPP product, including support for employer contributions and associated operational processes
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and deliver scalable product features, integrations, and infrastructure improvements
Work with technical infrastructure to support integrations with pension administrators and partner systems
Partner with UI/UX designers to create intuitive pension product experiences aligned with user needs, product strategy and consumer duty
Use product and customer data to inform decisions and continuously improve the pension product experience
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience working with UK pension products, ideally including SIPP products and employer contribution structures
Strong experience with pension administration and pension compliance processes
Hands-on experience working with pension administration platforms and transfer systems (i.e. Delta, Origo, Equisoft or similar)
Practical knowledge of UK pension regulation (FCA, TPR and HMRC) and regulatory frameworks impacting pension providers
Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile product environments
Solid understanding of digital product infrastructure, APIs, and technical systems used to integrate pension platforms and administrators
Strong product thinking with the ability to balance regulatory, operational, customer and commercial considerations
Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, design, compliance, and operations teams
English fluency (C1 level and above) — we are a UK-based company, and the role involves regular communication with the team
Nice to Have
Experience working in high-growth start-ups
Familiarity with workplace pension processes, including employer payroll contribution flows
Experience implementing product analytics and operational metrics to inform product decisions
