Finance Officer

The role
We are appointing a new Finance Officer to join our outstanding academy from July 2025. The successful candidate will be a professional person with the ability to act as an effective first point of contact for the finance department for ordering, managing the academy's purchase ledger and assisting with the ParentPay system - as well as many other ad-hoc administrative tasks. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day to day activity of the finance team working with a range of stakeholders including students, staff and parents.
Above all else, the successful candidate will have an appetite for learning and who is willing to get involved and absorb the knowledge of those around them. This role can be a fantastic platform for professional development and we encourage those aspiring to enroll in their ACA or ACCA exams to apply.

Previous school experience is not essential but having an understanding of a finance department and its responsibilities within an academy like ours is advantageous.

The role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis on a 42 week annual contract (term time plus 3 additional weeks in the school holiday period). We are hopeful there will be time for the current post holder to meet with the new person before they leave to complete a detailed handover.
