Job Purpose
Burberry is looking for an exceptional Global Retail Standards & Operations Manager to join our team in London. Within this role you will be responsible for driving consistency and reducing complexity across global store operations through simplified store trainings, clear policies and procedures, defined roles, consistent standards to deliver in-store service excellence, and stronger in-store management controls.
This role is offered on a full time, fixed-term contract (until September 2026) and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office for 4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless transition of projects into BAU, following established processes.
- Provide regular updates to SLT and senior stakeholders on the progress of global projects.
- Provide the Retail Training Team with the essential tools and content to effectively train the wider global training network.
- Partner closely with Retail teams to deliver operational ways of working—including clear processes and systems—ready for smooth implementation and training.
- Work hand-in-hand with IT to manage, prioritize, and control retail changes, ensuring technical solutions enhance the overall customer experience.
- Drive collaboration across functions to implement end-to-end process controls and uphold in-store operational standards.
- Define clear operational processes and retail roles to achieve back-of-house excellence in retail stores.
- Develop and launch global operational training programs aligned with strategic goals and key brand moments.
Personal Profile
- Retail store experience, preferably within a luxury brand, multi-store or corporate retail operational leadership is a plus.
- Experience with POS and payments systems. Familiarity in SAP Retail and Oracle, is desirable.
- Strong background in end-to-end project management and proven ability to deliver in retail or customer-driven environments.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 applications and retail math, with excellent verbal/written communication and time management skills.
- Organised, efficient, self-motivated, and solution-oriented, with strong follow-through and adaptability to change.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work effectively as both a team leader and team member.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and cross-functional business partners to drive collaboration.
- Willingness and ability to travel is required.
