Job Description

The role We are looking for a talented mid-level Product Designer to join a Product team and help create engaging digital experiences for both customers and colleagues. Working within an embedded product squad, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to turn complex challenges into simple, effective experiences. You will take ownership of design from initial discovery through to research, prototyping, testing and final delivery. You will also contribute to the continued development of design systems and explore how AI and LLM tools can improve the speed, quality and impact of product design. You will have the opportunity to: Own the design of customer and colleague-facing digital journeys from discovery through to delivery. Work as an integral part of a collaborative, cross-functional product squad. Influence stakeholders and help shape meaningful product decisions. Conduct user research and transform insights into practical design improvements. Create and test user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-quality digital experiences. Contribute to design systems, accessibility standards and evolving ways of working. Experiment responsibly with AI across discovery, research, prototyping and design delivery. Challenge traditional approaches and help the team deliver greater value at pace. Essential experience To be considered for this role, you will need: Approximately three to five years' experience in Product Design, UX Design or a similar end-to-end design role. Experience working within an embedded product team or cross-functional squad. Experience using, maintaining or contributing to design systems. Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing. Practical experience using AI or LLM tools within a design, research or product workflow. The confidence to explain and defend design decisions using evidence, user insight and product thinking. Strong communication skills, with experience influencing Product, Technology and business stakeholders. Evidence of challenging an established process or helping a team improve the way it works. The ability to work from the Newcastle office for a minimum of three days every week.
