Duty Events Manager - FTC 6 months

Fora Space Limited
London

The Company

At Fora, we’re reimagining what the workplace can be.

We create inspiring, design‑led spaces that blend hospitality, community, and wellbeing—so people can work productively, creatively, and happily.

From our first London workspace over 20 years ago, we’ve grown to 60+ locations across the UK and Germany, supporting 30,000+ members and partnering with trailblazing brands like Ocado, The BritishFashion Council, and Pangaia.

Backed by The Office Group, Blackstone, and Brockton Capital, we’re growing fast and pioneering conscious design, sustainable construction, and workspaces that empower people to work in their own unique way.

At Fora, we’re not just shaping workplaces—
we’re shaping the future of work

What You’ll Be Doing

Please note this will be a minimum of 15 hours per week to 35 hours per week, this will include weekends and evenings. Also this is paid on an hourly rate.

We’re now looking for an Event Duty Manager to bring events to life across our venues — someone who thrives on detail, leads confidently on the day, and makes every client feel completely looked after from contract sign‑off to final wrap‑up.

Pre‑Event Planning & Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients once their event is confirmed
  • Lead planning calls to understand objectives, timelines and bespoke requirements
  • Coordinate suppliers including catering, AV, security and cleaning
  • Create clear, detailed event briefs for internal teams and partners
  • Review floor plans, run sheets, risk assessments and event documentation
  • Ensure all bookings and details are accurately reflected in Nexudus
  • Spot potential risks or gaps early and escalate where needed

On‑Site Event Leadership

  • Take ownership as the on‑site operational lead, representing Fora professionally
  • Carry out full venue checks ahead of guest arrival
  • Brief and manage event assistants, FOH teams and support staff
  • Oversee supplier arrivals, set‑ups and deliveries
  • Be the calm, confident point of contact for clients throughout the event
  • Troubleshoot issues in real time — with judgement and discretion
  • Provide basic AV support (screens, microphones, video calls, clickers)
  • Monitor guest flow, catering levels, cleanliness, signage and accessibility

Client Experience & Relationships

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients
  • Offer expert guidance on best practice, venue capabilities and event delivery
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions
  • Ensure clients feel supported, informed and confident at every stage

Post‑Event Follow‑Up

  • Send feedback forms and capture insights
  • Complete post‑event reports and log any incidents or follow‑ups
  • Coordinate collections, delayed pick‑ups or late supplier queries
  • Raise tickets for tech, maintenance or venue issues
  • Ensure spaces are fully reset and returned to standard

General & Admin

  • Maintain accurate records across Nexudus, Freshservice, SAP, SharePoint and agency portals
  • Work closely with the Events Operations Manager and wider teams
  • Attend HQ meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
  • Support venue walk‑throughs, client viewings and audits as needed

Requirements

  • 1–3 years’ experience in events, hospitality or venue operations
  • A natural organiser who stays calm under pressure
  • Confident managing multiple senior stakeholders
  • Customer‑focused, proactive and solutions‑driven
  • Strong communicator — written and verbal
  • Comfortable juggling multiple events and priorities
  • Good understanding of health & safety and risk assessments
  • Tech‑confident with Microsoft Office
  • A true team player with a can‑do attitude and great attention to detail

Why Fora?

  • A collaborative, people‑first culture
  • Beautiful, design‑led workspaces
  • Exposure to high‑profile clients and events
  • The chance to own your events end‑to‑end
  • Real opportunity to grow with a fast‑scaling, premium brand
