Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our production kitchen team near Heathrow Airport. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality meals for our airline clients, while supporting the Sous Chef with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, experience in a high-volume kitchen, and the ability to lead and support junior team members while maintaining consistently high standards.

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of an assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality food according to recipes, specifications, and production requirements.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Supervise, support, and train junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Allocate tasks and ensure production deadlines are met efficiently.
• Monitor food quality and report any issues to the Sous Chef.
• Support stock control, portion control, cost control, and waste reduction.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and handled in line with food safety and HACCP standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Assist with implementing new recipes, menus, and production processes.
• Contribute ideas to improve kitchen efficiency, food quality, and overall performance.
• Take responsibility for the section in the absence of the Junior Sous Chef when required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in a professional, high-volume kitchen.
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Experience supervising, training, or supporting junior kitchen staff.
• Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation.
• Good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Experience in airline catering, large-scale food production, or contract catering is desirable.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• A genuine passion for food and culinary excellence.
