Start Date: January 5th 2026 (interviews to be held beforehand)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £85-£105 per day (depending on experience)
Year Group: Year 6
About the Role
A supportive and high-achieving primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 team from January 5th . This position is ideal for a BA graduate , especially those with a background in English or Mathematics , who are passionate about supporting pupil progress and gaining valuable experience in a school setting.
As a Teaching Assistant , you'll work closely with the class teacher to provide academic and pastoral support. You'll assist with small group work, one-to-one interventions, and lesson preparation, helping pupils achieve their best in the lead-up to SATs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in education within a supportive and nurturing environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
Hold a BA degree (English or Maths preferred)
Have previous classroom experience or experience working with children
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be proactive, patient, and confident supporting upper KS2 learners
Have a genuine passion for education and child development
