Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: London Borough of Havering
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (Term-time only)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary school team in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Support students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Encourage student independence and confidence
* Assist with preparation of learning materials
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience working with secondary school students (preferred)
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
