Commercial Director (Hiring Immediately)
WHO WE ARE
LandTech helps over 1,500 property professionals, including the UK’s biggest developers, find and secure land. We’re now building an AI-powered platform that covers the whole journey from site-finding through to planning, and we’re looking for a leader to drive our next stage of growth.
THE ROLE
You’ll lead our New Business and Customer Success teams, reporting directly to the CEO. Your mandate: grow new business fast and keep customers growing with us. It’s a senior role, but a hands-on one: you’ll be in deals and in the detail.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- New business growth. Lead mid-market and enterprise SaaS deal cycles, and raise the bar on discovery, demos, objection handling and pricing across the team.
- Retention and expansion. Find the real drivers of churn and build the processes that push net revenue retention up.
- How the teams operate. Own the playbooks, rituals and scorecards that let New Business and Customer Success scale and perform consistently.
- Pace and energy. Bring urgency to pipeline management and coaching, and set the tone for the whole commercial team.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 12 MONTHS
- New Business and Customer Success teams that are high-performing and energised, running on documented playbooks, weekly rituals and regular call reviews
- 3x pipeline coverage against the new-business target
- Monthly churn below 3%
- Net revenue retention (NRR) of 110%+
Requirements
- Personal track record closing B2B SaaS mid-market and enterprise deals, with lived experience of discovery, demos, objection handling, and pricing
- Direct experience diagnosing and improving customer retention, with a specific example of what changed and the impact it had
- Has built a high-performing commercial team, including the rituals, playbooks, and scorecards installed, and the results they drove
- UK property sector sales literacy: sold into UK property professionals, land teams, planners, property developers, or a closely adjacent regulated, process-driven buyer group
- Experience scaling or repositioning an existing commercial function
- Understanding of UK SMB and mid-market buying motions, not purely enterprise-led cycles
- Operates with visible urgency and presence in pipeline management and coaching cadence
Benefits
- Competitive Salary + Company Equity Scheme: £135,000–£150,000, depending on experience. OTE up to £250k
- Remote-First Flexible Working
- Private Health and Dental Insurance (with the option to add dependants)
- Pension Scheme (company contributions increasing with tenure)
- Group Life Assurance of 4 x Salary
- 27 days Paid Holiday (plus bank holidays)
- £500 Growth Fund
- £200 Remote Working Fund
- Flexible Bank Holidays + Unlimited Unpaid Holidays
- Company Away Days + Volunteer Charity Day
- Reward and Recognition Programme
- Anniversary Awards
