About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Licensing Officer to join our team at Hammersmith and Fulham. This person will be expected to assist in all aspects of Licensing administration work carried out by the service.

Some of the key duties of this role are as follows:

  • Providing high quality, sound, timely and accurate professional/technical advice, guidance and information about any work matter
  • Ensuring that any representations/applications comply with licensing legislation, government guidance and the Council's licensing procedures, policies and standard terms and conditions.
  • Providing business support service, e.g. opening and distributing post, document scanning/ archiving, first contact for enquiries/service requests, general administration, & IT Support.
  • Ensuring that team correspondence/enquiries are processed speedily, in agreed time limits.
  • Responding to requests for information virtually, in person, on the phone and in writing.
  • Deal sensitively/courteously with residents, customers, traders and members of the public
  • Liaising with applicants, responsible authorities, Councillors, local residents, businesses, regulatory and other Council teams, teams and law
    enforcement partners, as appropriate.
  • Processing/reconciling credit card and other payments for licence notifications/applications.
  • Ensuring that all annual/renewal fees are invoiced on time via the Council's finance system.
