Area Sales Manager - Flooring

Due to planned growth my client is looking to strengthen its sales force with the key appointment of an individual to cover North West London, Essex, Cambridgeshire and East Anglia . You will be responsible for the development of sales of floorcoverings products to Independent Retailers within the geographical area.
You will inherit a significant customer base of Independent Retailers that are loyal customers. The company has a strong and enviable brand that keeps evolving to remain leaders in the design community.
Your role will be to identify new and existing customers’ potential and leveraging opportunities to grow sales with existing products. You will launch new ranges into retailers by creating and delivering a market leading presentation.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Managing your area to deliver sales revenue targets.
- Building relationships with new and existing customers;advising andinfluencing them to grow
- Utilising and upkeeping point of sale and sampling.
- Managing customer pricing quotations and terms to protect margins while driving sales forward.
- Maintaining regular communication with line manager and other departments as required.

Key Skills/Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working within the floorcoverings sector or another home furnishings sector (Textile, Wallcoverings, Furniture). You will have experience selling to the Independent Retail Sector.
Candidates that are currently working in retail (Tapi, SCS, independent flooring showrooms) who are looking for their first sales reps role would be welcomed.
Ideally you will have the following skills;
- Collaborative in approach – a team player, end goal focused, persistent-ability to work towards longer term objectives, strong verbal ability – able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, organized, self motivated, numerate and analytical, Ability to work autonomously and in team environment.
