Housing Assistant

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Lewisham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Housing Assistant this role will be: SE6 4RU

The right candidate will:

To lead on rehousing enquiries and be the first point of contact for residents calling into the Housing & Communities department

* Provide a professional and knowledgeable service when responding to all enquiries and strive to resolve these at the first point of contact.

* Deal with enquiries that come into the department in a pro-active and customer focused way. Ensuring concerns are forwarded to the relevant teams or officers in a timely manner.

* Process all rehousing and transfer requests, on the Lewisham Council Housing Register and all associated systems and schemes including Housing Moves, Home Finder UK and Home Swapper.

* Assist Housing Officers and ASB Officers with tasks around tenancy management and ASB.

* Process Change of occupants and change of name applications.

* Keep records and complete administration tasks for the department.

We require the following:

* Experience of dealing with customers in a front facing environment

* Experience of managing and prioritising your own workload in a high-pressured environment

* Experience of using Microsoft Office and other computer systems to a high level
