Chief Accountant
- Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide financial advice and support to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Analyse financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports.
- Manage the production of the Council's Single entity and Group accounts.
- Lead the end of year capital and asset accounting processes.
- Manage the completion of VAT returns and corporate advice on VAT issues
- Have overarching responsibility for the Balance Sheet
