This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos and works closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals to provide personalised support for pupils with SEND. Staff collaborate to create a structured, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where children feel confident, motivated, and valued. Senior leadership is approachable and offers mentoring, guidance, and professional development to help staff thrive.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted one-to-one and small group support. You will help pupils access lessons, develop independence, and achieve their personal learning goals while promoting confidence, positive behaviour, and social skills.

  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and EHCP targets

  • Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally

  • Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress accurately

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals when required

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Support pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities

  • Attend staff meetings, training, and CPD sessions

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting

  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Be proactive, adaptable, and reliable

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing

The school is located in Greenford, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community. Staff benefit from a professional, inclusive, and well-resourced environment where collaboration, development, and wellbeing are prioritised.
