Project Engineer
A leading specialist construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on a major and technically challenging project in Central London. The project involves a complex reinforced concrete substructure and superstructure package, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme within one of London’s most technically demanding construction environments. This would suit a Project Engineer with a strong background in reinforced concrete, structural engineering, substructure or superstructure works, who is looking to take their experience onto a major Central London project. The Role
Working as part of the project delivery team, you will take responsibility for the engineering and technical coordination of the works, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, Design Team and specialist subcontractors.
Key responsibilities will include: * Managing the engineering delivery of RC frame substructure and superstructure works * Reviewing and coordinating construction drawings, specifications and design information * Setting out and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the approved design * Managing RFIs, technical queries and design coordination * Working closely with the design team to resolve technical issues * Supporting the planning and sequencing of structural works * Coordinating temporary works and construction methodologies * Monitoring quality and ensuring works comply with project specifications * Liaising with subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders * Maintaining accurate engineering and project documentation * Supporting the wider project team with technical and construction-related matters The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience working as a Project Engineer on major construction projects * Strong RC Frame / reinforced concrete experience * Experience across either substructure, superstructure or ideally both * A strong understanding of structural drawings, reinforcement and concrete construction * Experience working on technically complex projects * Good communication and coordination skills * The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment * Relevant engineering qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience Why Consider This Role? * Major Central London RC Frame project * Complex substructure and superstructure package * Opportunity to work with an established specialist contractor * Strong pipeline of major London projects * Excellent exposure to technically challenging construction * Opportunity for career progression within a growing business * Competitive salary and package
