Children' Residential Support Worker - Hillingdon
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a stable, caring and supportive home where children can thrive emotionally, socially and educationally. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people aged 8-18.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Promote emotional wellbeing, independence and life skills.
- Support children with education, health appointments and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and risk assessments.
- Safeguard and protect children at all times.
- Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care plans.
- Participate in sleep-in shifts and on-call duties where required.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Previous experience in residential childcare, social care, youth work or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
