Location: United Kingdon, London, Uxbridge
Department: Finance
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable recommendations that support our company's financial health and ambitious growth plans. You will be expected to have full ownership and management of the end-to-end dealer rebate process. This encompasses the development of a robust financial model for claim validation, the creation of comprehensive reporting, and the provision of detailed analysis to ensure accuracy, enforce budgetary control, and support accurate forecasting. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally and see the direct impact of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modelling & Validation: Develop, implement, and maintain a sophisticated financial model to systematically check, review, and validate all BYD dealer rebate claims. This model will serve as the primary control to verify claim accuracy against agreed-upon terms, sales data, and eligibility criteria.
- Comprehensive Reporting & Documentation: Design and generate a suite of detailed reports to document all rebate payments. These reports will provide clear visibility into payment history, claim status, and supporting details, serving as the single source of truth for internal and external audit purposes.
- Financial Analysis & Insight: Conduct thorough analysis of rebate data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimisation. Provide actionable insights on program performance, cost drivers, and dealer behaviour.
- Budgetary Control & Forecasting: Monitor rebate accruals and payments against the established budget. Proactively report on variances and provide data-driven forecasts for future rebate liabilities to ensure accurate financial planning and accrual accounting.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular management reports, including P&L analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards. Present financial results and insights to department heads and senior leadership.
- Data Analysis & Business Partnering: Partner with various departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to provide financial guidance and support their initiatives. Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement. Evaluate the financial viability of new projects, products, or business opportunities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a financial analysis, FP&A, or similar role.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) is essential.
- Strong experience with financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Experience with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, HubSpot) and financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion).
- Master’s degree towards a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA).
- Experience in automotive industry.
We offer:
- Performance and experience-based competitive remuneration
