Head of Operational Resilience
Due to annual leave, please note we will not be looking to interview until week commencing 2 March onwards.
Shape the future of resilience in a high‑impact leadership role.
We’re searching for an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of Operational Resilience to lead a well‑established team and take our resilience strategy into its next phase of maturity. Reporting directly to the Director of Operating & Technology Risk, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Operational Resilience framework remains robust, proportionate, and fully aligned with FCA expectations.
This is a senior, highly visible position where your expertise will influence decision‑making at the highest levels. You’ll chair key governance forums, oversee the lifecycle of our Important Business Services (IBS), strengthen scenario testing and incident preparedness, and partner closely with leaders across Technology, Operations, Risk, and Change. You’ll also own the Operational Resilience budget and deliver insightful reporting to senior leadership and the Board.
If you thrive on shaping strategy, building strong relationships, and driving meaningful organisational resilience, this role offers the scope and influence to make a real difference.
What you’ll bring
Deep leadership experience in Operational Resilience, Technology Resilience, or Operational/Enterprise Risk
Strong working knowledge of FCA Operational Resilience requirements
Confidence chairing senior forums and producing high‑quality executive and Board‑level reporting
A pragmatic, proportionate approach to applying regulatory expectations
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
This is a remote role with occasional travel to our UK offices. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and elevate a business‑critical function within a supportive, forward‑thinking leadership environment. If you’re looking for a role where your expertise will be valued, your voice will be heard, and your impact will be felt across the organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
In return you will be welcomed and supported by our Ardonagh family joining an organisation that cares about you as a person and your wellbeing. Some of the other benefits are:
Holiday entitlement of 26 days plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
35 hour working week
Opportunity to progress your career across the entire Ardonagh family
