The Accounts Manager Role

As an Accounts Manager , you will:

• Manage a sizeable client portfolio and act as the main point of contact

• Oversee statutory accounts and corporation tax work

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of seniors, semi‑seniors and trainees

• Plan, supervise, and finalise assignments from onboarding to completion

• Work closely with audit, tax, and cloud accounting teams

• Support advisory work including restructures, due diligence and outsourced finance

• Improve systems, processes, and workflow efficiency

• Provide commercial insight and support senior leadership

What You'll Need

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years PQE

• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 , UK corporation tax and auditing standards

• Experience managing a portfolio and reviewing statutory accounts

• Confident with cloud systems - Xero experience is a bonus

• Familiarity with CCH (training available)

• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills

• Ability to lead and develop junior team members

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
