Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist Location: Uxbridge, West London Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: ASAP Are you a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC in the UK? Do you want to make a difference by supporting children and young people with complex physical and learning needs in a safe, nurturing school environment? Uniform Education is recruiting a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a specialist school in Uxbridge. The school provides tailored education for pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, and physical disabilities. About the Role: As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Assess pupils’ functional abilities and develop tailored therapy programmes to promote independence and participation
• Support pupils in accessing learning through sensory, motor, and life-skills interventions
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and families to implement strategies from pupils’ EHCPs
• Recommend and support the safe use of specialist equipment and adaptations
• Deliver both 1:1 and group therapy sessions in line with individual needs
• Monitor, evaluate, and record progress, adjusting interventions where necessary
• Contribute to a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach alongside physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and teaching staff

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist (essential)
• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (PMLD, SLD, ASD, or physical disabilities)
• Knowledge of sensory integration, postural management, or assistive technology (desirable)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and external professionals
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ development
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
